Implementing the SmartGrid system enables us to integrate IoT applications into Power System energy distribution. This will foster efficient and sustainable energy management. An illustrative example involves uploading critical data from transformers to the cloud. This will enable a real-time analysis of factors such as temperatures and overloads. This approach enhances our ability to monitor and optimize the power distribution system, contributing to a more resilient and responsive energy infrastructure.

Figure 1 illustrates the street transformer connecting every house in the area. Install a smart device to transmit critical performance data over the cloud for maintenance planning. Design a PCB with an ESP32 using a homemade etching machine for efficient implementation.
ESP32-WiFi in Smartgrid system.
For example we can install an ESP32 Wifi module couple with an LET device to connect to the internet and upload data to the cloud. We can also have a smart PLC system that can assist with remote switching in case we detect any unsual measurements.
Integrating an ESP32 WiFi module enables street transformers to transition from energy-intensive consumers to low-carbon prosumers. This is empowered by digital technologies that provide flexibility benefits to the electricity grids. Buildings, equipped to produce, consume, store, sell, and buy energy, actively participate in the building-to-grid ecosystem. This will result in an overall improvement in the power system network, reliability, and continuity of service by reducing expected failures.
Furthermore, the inclusion of artificial intelligence technology is planned. The AI system, trained to analyze data from the monitoring system, can alert maintenance teams about potential failures. This proactive approach significantly decreases the cost of operating a complex network system, a crucial factor in supporting a modern, vibrant economy.
